Who? What? Beads and Ribbons...?
Mother's side of the family has pretty good hands. It all started when I was a little girl who loved to build model houses from Lego blocks and sew Barbie doll dresses, right up to when I was in high school when I used to enjoy presenting portrait drawings and model buildings made from plywood and such, as my semester art class assignments. I didn't enrol in arts stream; and with an SPM science stream cert as a ticket, went on to study computer science in university.
Strangely enough, permanent career as an SAP consultant has never brought adequate satisfaction besides earning periodic dough in my bank account.
Then the handcraft psyc got out of hand when in 2003 that I junctioned into handcraft. I started to craft mock containers using paper boards, plywood, etc. for my own engagement and wedding gifts!
There it was, the madness for boxes, heaps of glittery beads and rolls of ribbons - an epiphany that gave a new perception of how I view my deep enthusiasm in handcraft work. I do love anything from the art side, anything that's powered by the right side of the brain.
There were no professional planners. It was just us - the sisters and our mother. Ideas poured in. Handcraft, decoration, art and baking talents, all perfected via the sisters' weddings. The rest is history.
Beads & Ribbons. Man, I should've taken up arts in the university instead :]
